Top 6 Benefits of Sport Specific Speed Training

Running form –

Fastest way to get faster is to improve running form. Running more efficiently leads to better stamina during the game.

Burst Speed –

Creating separation is key to getting open to take the shot or getting open to receive the pass.

Injury Prevention and Diversity –

Focus is on good form. Drills have heavy focus on making cuts and changes of direction in a way that promotes good form – reducing the chance of injury. Reduce repetitive injuries by diversifying your training routine.

The “Ball” Impact –

Once athletes are using good form and doing drills properly, we add the ball to increase the complexity. Having to execute a drill at high speed combined with controlling a ball is more game-like.

Conditioning and Recovery –

Our training sessions are similar to sports where we are constantly switching between 100% effort and very short rests. The side benefit of our training is the athletes leave in better condition than they started. The training is meant to challenge the athlete to move to the next level.

Confidence –

Mastery of our drills leads to increased self confidence which translates on the field of play. This is even more evident at the younger levels.

Congratulations to Leo Minne for qualifying for the state track finals in the 100m and 4×100m. His father had this to say about our program: “I absolutely agree that Leo’s work over the winter and spring paid off. I’m very grateful for you and your staff for making Leo part of your family – special thanks go out Chuck B. who really took time for Leo as a trainer and as a friend.”

Would you like your athletes to experience the intensity of training that is required in the off season to get them prepared for the regular season? Are you interested in showing your athletes the type of high level training that is necessary to drive your team into post season play? If so, The House of Speed can show you the way.

My name is Will Robinson and I am the owner of the House of Speed, Chicago North Shore, IL. Our training program focuses on the one quality athletes need most regardless of sport, and that is – SPEED!. I encourage you to check out the video below to get a taste of what House of Speed is all about.

House of Speed’s philosophy is based on the principles used by Don Beebe during his nine year, record setting career in the NFL. Morals, values, work ethic and a never-say-die attitude helped Don compete and succeed in the NFL. House of Speed wants to instill the same passion into a new generation of athletes by motivating and building character.
